So very sad. This is why I just will not speed. Period. I just don’t. I get so irate when people go out on the roads and put others lives at risk so they can be first in line to get a damn latte or whatever the hurry. If there was something to rush about, it would be a latte, but not at the expense of someone’s life as they and their loved ones know it. So selfish. So sad.

Oh. MY. God. We don’t have that here in NSW. I’m sitting here at work with tears on my cheeks and my boss just asked me what’s wrong, so now I titally want to cry my heart out.
Awesome ad.
With a kid getting his learners - I’m terrified. Nothing is ever worth speeding over. Nothing.

I saw that for the first time today.

Too sad :(

So very sad, Kelley. These stories caused by people speeding are horrible and so unnecessary. That and no wearing seat belts. I can’t begin to tell you the number of auto accidents I have responded to as part of the ambulance crew, and found kids all messed up, due to speeding, no seat belts or alcohol, or a combination of all three. So sad…

How very, very sad. It’s one thing to bury a child because of illness - it must be quite another to have to bury a child because of a stupid, life-wasting accident. I hope I never know the experience.

I’m sick to fucking death of seeing dead kids every weekend. I’m sick to fucking death of telling some poor bloody parents their kid isn’t coming home. I’m sick to fucking death of the waste.

Thanks for that, Kelley.

And so say all of us.

Getting a pager message calling us to an accident with people trapped is the worst part of what we do.

Kelley,

This really brings things home, to everyone. In Qld schools, they also have the fire and rescue come out to the schools and show students what they do, my miss came home a very different person and cried just explaining things. It made a very big impact on her.

In the US, they focus on the drunk drivers. The speed demons are just as bad…

It is such a disgrace that this is still an issue in places.

I wasn’t aware of it being an Australian issue.

Here in Holland it is almost unheard of, but home in Ireland the numbers are nothing short of horrific.

The number of single vehicle accidents alone tells it’s story.

Slow the fuck down.

These are some clips from similar road safety campaigns in Ireland.
I SERIOUSLY warn you that these are GRAPHIC & DISTURBING. They were created so out of desperation at the situation in Ireland.
