The sorry tale of a little girl and Vodka/girls night out

Posted by: magneto bold too! on Saturday, January 19th, 2008

Moo went to a party last night.

Moo drank some alcohol.

Moo is only 16 and has a rather delicate composition.

Moo has spent the day like this:

head-in-toilet.jpg

Because of this:

mudshake_pics.jpg

that she knows makes her vomit.  But she still she did it.

Because she is a teen and she is stupid.

So today I made her life hell.  No sympathy.  Sending her brother to her for every little thing.  Making her make cups of tea for visitors and peel me a grape….

And she did it.  Because she is stupid Because she knows that she was in the wrong.

Oh the power.

****************

Last night Boneblower came for our sleepover.

She was bullied by Frogdancer and I conceded that she should change her name.  So now she is Anita.  Thank Christ.

So Anita and I went out to dinner.  To have a hot waiter  curry.

We chatted to the waiter but gave the curry a miss.

Anita being the big fat girly chicken that can’t try anything new had boring ol’ butter chicken.

Decided to be a bit more adventurous, so on the recommendation of McWhite-freaking-hot-waiter I tried the Palak Paneer.

palak-paneer.jpg

Oh. My. Fucking. God.  It was amazing.  It was the best thing I had eaten all day all week all year for a long freaking time.

Anita spent the whole time laughing at my facial expressions.  She has decided to call me Sally, albeit a mute one.

We had this: samosas.jpg and this:dsc02025.JPG

and rice and wine and shit.

But all I can remember is the freaking spinach and cottage cheese orgasm in my mouth.

I am so in lust with this restaurant.  Hot tasty waiters and the food is not bad either.

And then we came home and bunked down in the lounge room and watched Music and Lyrics, again, bitched and gossiped, had a pillow fight, had a bare knuckle fight over discussed who could sleep on the couch and who got the bed and tried desperately to stay awake - sans wine - till pick up time for Moo at 1.30am.

So boring adult time was had.

But we were so going to toilet paper the cubby.  But me, being the distracted housewife of late, forgot to buy toilet paper.  So there was only one roll.

And drip dry is not an option.
Sorry to disappoint with a post about what I had for dinner *gaffaw* and lack of photo of the hot waiter. Or the baby oil.

I was feeling bad about being so blunt to your friend. But something had to be said. I’m so glad she’s Anita. Nothing off-putting about that!

I must pop into her blog and say hi. I’d do it now but dinner is nearly done. I’m so hungry I could eat my own left leg. Fortunately that’s not what’s on offer.

Poor Moo! We´ve all been there…
The Palak Paneer sounds divine. And I am a closet Music & Lyrics watcher too.
Send Moo over with those grapes, would you?

I LOVE me some palak paneer! Yum!!

As for Moo, sounds like she learned a good lesson this weekend, and if she’s like every other teenager it should burrow its way into her brain and stay there for at least, say, a week.

I bet you $10 that Moo will never be able to stomach vodka mudshakes again. I still can’t stomach bourbon. *shudder*

Glad you had fun. Pity about the lack of photos though.

I’m with Veronica - it was Jim Beam (neat!) in my day. Oh, what a rebel I was…

Sad thing is this is the 4th or 5th time. The girl just doesn’t learn from her mistakes!!!!

My never-go-near-again drink is Bacardi. *shudder*

Palak Panner is SO good. It is one of my favourite Indian meals. You can now buy Panner in the cheese section at the grocery store, so we make Palak Panner at least once a week. So, so good.

I am so glad that I now know Anita’s name. Referring to her as Boneblower in the real world was just weird.

Yummo that looks good.
Glad you had a great time. Can you please take Murphy home now? He’s worn out his welcome.

Ugh, I’d feel sorry for Moo, but hopefully this is the time she will learn from. My similar experience was with Port (good Lutheran me :grin), makes communion interesting.

Your dinner sounds divine, hot waiter, good food. I so want to be there now. Instead I have to go clean up more blood. I swear my children just know when I’m going to be commenting in your blog and decide to injure themselves.

What can I say? I’m not normally into mushy green stuff that resembles baby’s first eva poo!!!!

I remember my parents doing the exact same thing to me when I’d over indulged on the wine cup, aged about 14… As a special treat they then produced wine cup for supper… yes, the same sweet sickly punch I’d had at the party.

It worked.

For a week or two.

Cheers

Poor Moo! My lot are 18 and 15 and we haven’t had that experience yet. Unlike me who redecorated the inside of my tent on a camping weekend at 15, after polishing off the best part of a flagon of moselle while sitting around the campfire. I didn’t learn, and kept doing similar (the drinking not the spewing) regularly for a few years after. Growing older, leaving school and getting a job didn’t change things much - other than being able to afford better booze! Of course, if my kids come home pissed, I will be very sanctimonious about it.

Ouch, my head this morning.

As someone who has done the giggling juice from Russia over and over again, I sympathise with the poor girl. Did you at least hold her hair out of the shitter when she hurled?

It’s a rite of passage, we do it and we will do it again. Stupid, yeah… it happens. But why the hell do we not get pictures of the dead sexy waiter. It’s 2:30 in the freakin’ morning and I’m hanging’ for some hot dark sexy waiter.

You should have offered Moo some of those Nacho Cheeze Doritos at about 5am in the morning. Now that’s punishment…

It took me 10 years to drink a beer after a date with a 6-pack when I was 17. ;-)

I love the spinach and cottage cheese orgasm. I think you should tell the restaurant to change the name of that dish. In fact, next time I go to the Indian counter at the cafeteria, I’m going to ask the server for “spinach and cottage cheese orgasm”.

With a side of samosa, please.

The picture of your dd puking was almost as good as a hot waiter. I have a 15 year old who will preview what will be her hell if she decides to do that (and I’m sure she will).

Vodka is my drink too.
Actually makes me think good thoughts about DH - he had the joy of cleaning up the college toilets - bwahh haw haw

And … palek paneer - yummo! One of my favourites. Also like the one that is the cheese and cashews in the butter chicken sauce - something marsala - good!

Mmmmm - I love palak paneer - I make a version with feta, so nice to see someone has found paneer in the supermarkets!

Mine was Rum - hate it and now live near the centre that produces it and the foul odour of its drinkers..
